Who Are We?

Metroflex Gym in Oceanside is founded by born-again Christians Gavin Louis Uridel and Josh Barnett.  (Don’t worry, we aren’t the “judgy” kind).  Metroflex is founded as a Results-Based gym… that is what matters most to us. People who come to our gym, we want them to reach their fitness goals.  This applies for all fitness levels – the beginner to the most advanced. You will not find any judgments here.  This is a house of gains and all glory goes to God!

We started Metroflex Gym in Oceanside because there aren’t any REAL hardcore places to train in North County.  Moreover, any gym that is big enough to hold a decent amount of trainers is a big box corporate gym. Most trainer gyms are smaller and can get crowded… also they charge too much for their trainers!  We can offer competitive rates for members and trainers – and have a family atmosphere of a true bodybuilding community… We want to take it back to the Golden Era of Bodybuilding!

When you have a gym owned by competitive bodybuilders – you are going to get a gym that is equipped correctly. You won’t find any half-way equipment here that has the ergonomic design of a wombat.  Top notch equipment and a facility that grows WITH the membership… as the gym grows – so does the gym!
